Sally’s art invites viewers to connect with nature’s beauty, and to embark on a journey of interpretation that ignites the imagination , and evokes introspection. Her pieces mirror the textures found in nature and reflect the interplay between the tangible and intangible.
For her creating art is a process of inner transformation, and somehow she emerges from painting into a higher state of being. So her art is very personal and it has been necessary for her to create since she was able to hold a paintbrush.
Her pieces evolve naturally straight from source, sometimes with minimal planning. Sally uses a variety of mediums including acrylics, inks, handmade pigments from the surrounding land and even found objects.
"It's about letting go so my art becomes a playground of colours, shapes and emotions."
